2002 Passenger Race

Race Results

The passenger race was held on March 20, 2002. Junior mushers paired up with senior mushers and started out with one musher on the runners and the other in the basket. At the 7.7 mile turnaround, mushers switched positions and gave the turnaround marshal a gift. Mushers were allowed to have up to one dog per 40 pounds of the mushers' combined weights. After the race the entrants enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers and got their four bags of dog food per musher.
